Modernized reporting infrastructure for scalable analytics
Problem
SpringBig needed a more scalable and maintainable reporting environment to support internal teams and enterprise clients. Existing reporting workflows had grown over time, creating additional complexity around datasets, analytical logic, data quality, and ongoing report delivery. As reporting demand increased, the company needed an infrastructure that could support both recurring analytics and a high volume of ad-hoc requests without sacrificing consistency.
Challenge
Migrating reporting was not simply a matter of rebuilding dashboards in a new BI tool. Existing metrics and business logic had to remain consistent while underlying datasets, SQL logic, and reporting structures were reorganized. At the same time, data inconsistencies had to be identified and resolved across systems without interrupting ongoing reporting for internal and external users.
Our Solution
Maximize Solutions designed and delivered an end-to-end analytical environment using AWS Redshift, PostgreSQL, SQL-based data logic, and Amazon QuickSight.
Legacy reporting was migrated from Tableau to Amazon QuickSight while maintaining metric parity and improving the overall structure and maintainability of the reporting environment.
We developed reusable datasets and scalable reporting frameworks that could support multiple departments instead of rebuilding analytical logic for each individual request.
Data-quality monitoring was incorporated into the workflow to identify inconsistencies and coordinate their resolution with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams.
We also documented analytical workflows and continued improving reporting automation as the platform evolved.
Over a two-year period, the reporting environment supported the successful delivery of 1,500+ ad-hoc reports.
